COURSE - PORCELAIN LACE

Take home with you a unique souvenir of Venice, created with your own hands!

In this two-hour experience through plate-making we will create a set of three plates embellished with textures given by the impression on porcelain of authentic Burano lace.

The manufactured products will then be fired and glazed so that they can be used in your daily life.

Delivery will be agreed (about 3/4 weeks after the course) and shipping is included in the price for Italy and Europe (rest of the world to be paid separately).

The workshop will be held in the Castello workshop - Fondamenta dei Preti 5844.

What to bring

The course will be held using the slab technique, so you won't get very dirty. However, in a ceramic studio there is always the possibility that you will end up making a mess. I therefore recommend that you wear clothes made of easily washable fabrics or bring an apron or an old t-shirt with you.

Ideally having short nails will make it easier to shape your mug.

Materials and tools included

The course involves the creation of three plates of different sizes or porcelain trays using the plate technique. The pieces created will then be coated with a transparent enamel of your choice between glossy and opaque.

For items made in excess, a small surcharge may be charged based on the size of the piece created to cover the costs of firing and materials.

The cooking for the three pieces included in the course are included.

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please let me know as soon as possible. If we find someone else to replace you, you can reserve your place on another date, but if your place is not filled, you will lose the entire amount.
