THROWING WHEEL discovery COURSE

Introductory course to WHEEL THROWING technique, duration 6 hours.

During the course, all the phases of working on the wheel will be covered: mixing the clay, turning, finishing and decorating/glazing. During this course, you will learn the basics of ceramics and take home a couple of objects made entirely by you.

Alternatively, you can agree on the training path with the teacher based on your needs.

All cooking and materials are included.

Never before in this historical period has man distanced himself from nature and its vital cycles. The frenetic rhythms imposed by society distance us day by day from our inner feelings; creativity expressed through the use of our hands, instead, helps us to regain possession of this feeling. 'Our hands are the antennas of our soul. If you make them move by sewing, cooking, painting, playing or sinking them into the earth, you send signals of care to the deepest part of you. And your soul calms down because you are giving it attention. So it no longer needs to send you pain to be noticed'.

Working with clay is a beautiful experience that requires presence, attention and respect. Ceramics embodies the life cycle of the four elements. Earth mixes with water that makes it malleable, just as our approach to life should be malleable. This new compound of earth and water can be shaped so that our hands and our creativity can give the world new shapes. The void around which we create our shapes will serve to contain a full one, and its capacity will depend entirely on the amount of space we have been able to create. Finally, fire strengthens and makes our creativity tangible, giving us an object that we can take with us in our daily lives.
